Kendall R. Brune, PhDc, MBA, FACHCA

Dr. Kendall R. Brune, PhDc, MBA, FACHCA, is a Principal with 1CRW Worldwide. Dr. Brune has twenty-five plus years of experience in senior executive capacities in the finance, development, construction and operation of ambulatory care, pharmacy and senior housing and care facilities to include independent, assisted, memory care, skilled and sub-acute environments. His extensive corporate experience has been split between for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.

Dr. Brune started his career in hospital administration focusing on off-site programs to include: sub-acute skilled care unit, senior/adult mental health program, home health and hospice services, rural health clinics, home medical care and retail/wholesale pharmacy operations. As a retirement community developer, he has professionally been responsible for the project management of 21 congregate living communities with over $183 million of new healthcare construction. During his tenure in hospital administration, he oversaw construction on a $3 million Adult Day Care and Senior Nutritional Center, $2.5 million Ambulatory Care Center, $2 million free standing Assisted Living facility, $5 million free standing Skilled Nursing facility, and a rural $150,000 pharmacy renovation.

Dr. Brune is currently working in the area of healthcare technology with SafeTdoc, LLC, as the Chief Compliance Officer. Previously, he was the Vice President of Strategy and Development for United Technologies Corporation based in St. Louis. United Technologies has operated in the Security Industry, working for the Department of Defense, State, Regional and City Law Enforcement agencies, serving as the hardware and software management professionals.

Academically, Dr. Brune is currently earning a terminal doctorate from the University of North Texas, in the area of health informatics and minority aging. Specifically, he is serving the Chickasaw Nation as a Graduate Research Fellow at the Chickasaw Nation Health Center/Hospital. Dr. Brunes’ research will focus on readmission rates and its impact on the financial health of the tribe. His first graduate thesis was centered on the impact of “Religion/Spirituality as it Impacts the Functional Health of the Elderly.” Dr. Brune has authored two books with LuLu publishing titled “Religion & Healthy Aging” and “Senior Care 2.0” respectively.

Dr. Brune has also owned and operated skilled, assisted, mental health facilities in Missouri, a Pharmacy, home care and medical equipment company, and a geriatric care management company. Recently, he has been directly involved with the development of a new assisted living and memory care community in Jacksonville, Florida as well as a new skilled, assisted living and memory care community in St. Louis, MO.
